October 15th 2009 - General Dynamics UK subsidiary Page Europa wins contract to supply shelters for Patriots

General Dynamics UK Limited subsidiary, Page Europa has been contracted by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems to construct and supply shelters for Patriot Defence Systems to be deployed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The fully transportable shelters will be manufactured in accordance with Raytheon’s design standards, and will house some of the main control modules of the Patriot integrated system such as the Information & Coordination Centre, the Communication Relay Groups and the Engagement Control Stations.

Production of the shelters will be completed over the next two years and a highly demanding Quality-control process will be applied during the production, manufacturing and testing phases. The shelters will be produced at Page Europa’s production facility in Izmir, Turkey.

General Dynamics UK also produces shelters for the British Ministry of Defence, NATO agencies such as NC3A, NACMA, NAMSA, the Turkish MoD and other military customers worldwide through its subsidiary companies Page Europa and Anteon. Its capabilities range from satellite ground stations, communications facilities and tactical data centres through to field sanitation and hygiene units. The units are built to rigorous standards, including the full range of NATO specifications. On-site capabilities include everything from initial metal cutting through to equipment installation and testing.
